Right Staffordshire Cat Painting

I have a single righthand Staffordshire cat that deserves being painted! Featuring a proud cushioned kitty, surrounded by flowers and bordered with a golden scallop design. The frame has been repurposed, painted with gently distressed Oriental Red and backed with scrap William Morris wallpaper. Measuring approx 20.7cm x 15.7cm, including the frame.

 

Reverse painting on glass is an art form consisting of applying paint to a piece of glass and then viewing the image by turning the glass over and looking through the glass at the image. I've added my own twist by applying mixed media, such as paper and gold leaf. This makes it a challenge but rewarding way to create original pieces.
